What is available in this release?
1.1 adds two new features to Tome: Narrative Page States and Frames
Get started
Frames
This feature is quite simple : you can now create frame styles to highlight your paragraphs with. Each frame style will use an icon, as well as colour, to help you contextualise the text at a glance. A part you want to read aloud, a very important idea, a sequence that happens in a parrallel world your characters shift in and out of… it’s your decision!
To start, create a new frame in the palette:
Then, just create a style, name it, and enjoy!
We’ve created a few default styles to start you with on this new idea. Here’s an example:
You can also choose to ‘Pin’ up to four styles. This makes them easily accessible when you create a new frame.
Here, we’ve pinned four easy-to-access styles.
In the future, we’ll be adding more to this concept. If you’re a Daring Fox or above on our Kickstarter, this is also one of the features the icon pack we’ll create for you will be available for.
We’re confident you’ll create amazing frame concepts with this. Looking forward to seeing them!
Narrative Page States
It is now possible to attribute a state to every Narrative Page out of four options:
They roughly follow the same pattern as the ‘Plot’ options.
They’re also visible from the tree, making it easy to pick up where you left off:
A simple, yet practical feature, that will be expanded on later.
